Sean is originally from Montana, but completed high school in Penticton, British Columbia. He obtained his first degree in computer science from the University of British Columbia and has an interest in the application of technology to the legal profession.
After several years working as a software engineer in New York City, Sean attended law school at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, earning his Juris Doctor in 2007. Sean completed his articles at a large downtown Toronto law firm and was called to the bars of Ontario and British Columbia in 2008.
Upon being called to the bar, Sean returned to the Okanagan valley where he had a litigation practice that included employment law, family law, criminal defence, plaintiff personal injury, and insurance defence. In 2013, Sean was called to the bar in Alberta and returned to Edmonton where he has carried on as a litigator helping his clients with employment law, family law, criminal defence, regulatory defence, and personal injury matters.
Sean is a seasoned trial lawyer having conducted trials before all levels of trial court in both Alberta and British Columbia. While Sean enjoys trial, he takes a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution and has successfully resolved may files both through informal negotiation and alternative dispute resolution procedures.
Sean currently resides in Edmonton with his son. He is an avid Eskimos fan and enjoys weight lifting, hiking, and sailing in his free time. Sean has also maintained his skills as a computer programmer and continues producing software as a hobby.
