Monica completed her articles at a reputable law firm in Edmonton and stayed on as an associate before joining the team at Verhaeghe Law. From the very beginning, Monica immersed herself in litigation work in the areas of family law and immigration law. She has gained a lot of court experience at different levels, including appearing before the Court of Appeal of Alberta. She regularly represents clients on parenting, child support, divorce, and matrimonial property issues in both the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of Kings's Bench of Alberta. As an immigrant herself, Monica takes special pride in assisting people with different immigration issues and is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Monica enjoys the connection that she usually has with her clients and she is ready to put in the work that is required to get her clients the results her clients want.
In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family and travel.
